Since the health and safety of our patients, staff, and physicians is our primary concern, we have made various in-office changes for everyone's protection.
Our office is working diligently to adapt to the ever evolving COVID-19 situation. We are following all health and safety measures recommended by the province and our regulatory bodies. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during these times.
Masks
On March 21, 2022, Ontario removed the mandatory masking requirement for most settings, with the exception of select settings such as public transit, health care settings, long-term care homes and congregate care settings.
Isolation
As of Wednesday, March 9, 2022, individuals who are boosted or who are under 18 years of age and fully vaccinated are now no longer required to self-isolate if they are exposed to someone in their household who has COVID-19. Additionally, individuals exposed to someone with COVID-19 that they do not live with are no longer required to self-isolate. These individuals should continue to self-monitor for symptoms for 10 days from their last exposure and isolate if any symptoms develop. They must also wear a mask in public settings for 10 days after their last exposure to the COVID-19 case. Individuals who have confirmed or presumed COVID-19 must wear a mask in all public settings for a total of 10 days (20 days for immunocompromised individuals) after symptom onset or specimen collection date (whichever is earlier), regardless of the length of their self-isolation period.
