- The boxes filled with the same colour are given as one needle.
- Rotavirus vaccine is given by mouth.
- * Vaccines required at one year of age should be given on or after the child's first birthday.
- The vaccines in bold print are required for school attendance under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.
- Vaccines for Grade 7 and 8 students are provided in schools by local health units.
- Shingrix is a two dose vaccine also available to help protect against shingles. It is not publicly funded in Ontario. It can be given at ages 50 years and older and requires a prescription. It is more efficacious than the government funded shingles vaccine and is covered by many private drug plans.
